He Took Me to New Heights of Pleasure with His Prosthetic Penis
An intimate narrative of discovery, satisfaction, and sexual pleasure.
Penises are as unique as fingerprints. They vary from man to man. And I have seen plenty.
I have seen long penises. Short penises. Tiny penises. Humongous penises. Girthy penises. Pencil penises. Right curve, left curve, and bone-straight penises. Rock-hard and doughy penises. Bulbous penises. But never had I ever seen (or experienced) a prosthetic penis.
We were on our first date when he shared his story. As a child, he had a rare form of cancer. He underwent extensive treatment for years before participating in a clinical trial.
Of all the children who participated in the trial, he was the lone survivor. At the ripe age of 14, the doctors told him that he would probably develop cancer again.
He was diagnosed with bladder cancer 20 years later.
They performed a cystectomy, which is the surgical removal of the bladder. In men, bladder removal usually involves removing the prostate and seminal vesicles as well. If you’re wondering, the seminal vesicles are inside the penis.
This was not an easy time for him. As most men would be, he was devasted at the possibility of a sexless future. But he was also grateful to have survived cancer — twice. And relieved that technology afforded him the possibility of a normal-ish sex life.
I was fascinated by his story and encouraged by his resilience. I was also super curious. I asked a million questions.
Do you have sensation?
How do you urinate?
Did you experience depression?
Do you still have testicles?
Is your experience of arousal different than before?
