I take the bus three days a week and this really resonates with me. I feel more engaged with the world, I see people, I think about writing. But I feel that empty space. I more often than not see many on their phones, unaware. Everyone has their own path to walk, so not judging people (who maybe doing the unpaid 'care' work through their phones), but it is a definite change.
