"And since we believe real intimacy is telepathic, we not only stop asking questions, but we assume that our partners know all our answers."

👏 Completely, 100% agree. I feel like that is the most harmful myth that seems to surround intimacy and relationships. That the happily ever after is the end of the work, that it is effortless. Anything worth doing takes effort.

Also, the danger of assuming that what felt good tomorrow still feels good today, or that something else might be better, is that it assumes our partners are static and not growing or changing.

Everything you said! Curiosity is a simple and arguably easy form of intimacy. We mustn't forget to see our partners (and ourselves) with beginner's eyes.

Thank you so much for reading and sharing your thoughts, Nemo. Deep bow. 🙏🏾
