Have you ever experienced one of those moments where someone says something that changes your life forever?
It usually happens when you least expect it. And if you ask the other person about it later, they won’t remember. Because it wasn’t for them, it was for you.
One such moment happened to me many years ago during a conversation with a close friend. What she said changed my sex life forever.
At the time, I had been in the longest relationship I never had for nearly 8 years. The sex was phenomenal. Which is what I was telling her before she went all oracle on me.
“He is so good in bed. He does things to my body that I can’t even put into words!” I exclaimed.
She remained silent.
I continued to drone on and on about how proficient he was in cunnilingus. His impeccable stroke game. And the way my body responded to his touch. When she interrupted me.
“You’re having good sex because YOU ARE GOOD IN BED!”
Until then, I’d given him all the credit. I had never considered myself good in bed. But it was true. The sex was good because of what I brought to the experience.
You are good in bed.
Those 5 words changed my sex life forever.
To his credit, he had skills. But so did I.
Good sex is intentional.
It’s more than chemical attraction, arousal, and desire. Don’t get me wrong, those things are very important. But good sex is more than that.
Good sex requires active participation. Good sex begins the moment you decide to take an active interest in getting better.
Because sex is a skill. And like all skills, you need to be curious and eager to learn. If you want to be proficient in the bedroom (or the venue of your choice) you must commit to being a student of the craft.
Pleasure is not one size-fits-most.
Every body is different. And bodies change. All the time. It doesn’t matter if you’re hooking up. Making love with your forever partner. Or pleasuring the most important person in your life. That’s you by the way. You need to bring your A-game.
I have taken the liberty of compiling a list of tips & tricks to help make 2024 the best year of your sex life… you can thank me later. 😉
