One of the best things about being in a relationship is that it takes the load off.
Cause let’s be real, life is hard a lot of the time, and so having a person who can move through the cabin with you is a win!
You can share chores and divvy up who does what, when, and where. You don’t have to figure out what you are going to eat all the time. They’re probably good at things that you’re not, and vice versa.
It’s probably not perfect. There’ve been some rough bits. But mostly, your life, this shared life, has some semblance of ease. And that’s a good thing. For them. For you.
But there is one area of this shared life where the responsibilities shouldn’t be split. SEX.
Maintaining your sex life shouldn’t be a chore. And it most certainly shouldn’t be something that falls on one of you.
Sex is a team sport. Not just the act itself. The whole shebang.
Because sex isn’t just about to-doing, it’s also about to-being. And to-pleasuring. To-desiring. To-feeling. To-releasing. To-surrendering.
Which means it’s a TWO-gether kinda thing.
At this big ol’ age, we know that sex is about so much more than bumping and grinding. Even when we’re not doing it… sex still takes up a lot of space.
That’s why it takes two.
In this week’s episode, we’re talking about why sex should be something you maintain together. And how it gets loaded if the responsibility falls on one person.
